After a number of emotional “see you laters” to friends and family, we arrived in India! A suitable first port of call therefore had to be the Gateway of India, located in Colaba, Mumbai. Along with hordes of selfie taking crowds, we made our way to the base of this 26 metre high monument, constructed in 1924 to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary.
